Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 certificate
- Experience: Previous experience in Facility Management Unit (FMU) is advantageous.
- Certifications: Facility Management/Project Management certificate or any trade certificate preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and write
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with FMU Processes and Procedures
- Understanding of PFMA, OHS, SCM, GIAMA, and Batho Pele Principles
Duties
- Record and log defects on E-Maintenance system and follow up on outstanding defects with works group.
- Conduct building audits and report findings.
- Perform regular site inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Draft project specifications and manage FMU projects according to departmental standards.
- Perform facility site assessments, identify deviations from scope of work, and issue snag list.
- Liaise with GDID works group artisans and inspectorate.
- Ensure full functionality of condition base and statutory equipment and machinery.
- Carry out other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
